East Essex Astronomy Club December Meeting

This month club chair John Press will be talking about Einstein's theory of relativity and how it relates to astronomy today. We will also have short members talks on various other astronomical subjects. Refreshments provided. If you are an experienced astronomer, are a beginner and have many questions you would like answers to or have just have a new interest please come along to meet us. All are welcome (we just ask that under 16s are accompanied by a responsible adult).
Cost: Non members £3 adults, under 16s £1, Member £2 adults, under 16s free

Traditional Christmas Carol Concert

Our annual carol concert with carols old and new with plenty of audience participation in the singing. This year we are happy to host St Francis Catholic Primary School Choir. Ceremony of Nine Lessons and Carols

St Mary's with Mundon, Church Street, Maldon   CM9 5HP
This famous and well-loved service started life at Truro Cathedral in 1870. Subsequently, it became famous when it was presented at Kings College, Cambridge, from 1918. It went on to become a world-wide phenomenon when the BBC started broadcasting it in 1924. Come and hear the Christmas story told, interspersed with your favourite hymns and carols, and illustrated by beautiful music sung by the celebrated choir.

Bring along your classic or modern vehicles together with anything of interest Steam Pump Tea Room OPEN serving breakfasts, hot/cold food, home made cakes and refreshments Unless shown below otherwise, the Miniature steam train will NOT be running for train rides and "Marshall" the Lilleshall pumping engine will NOT be running. Some engines will be run on Compressed Air

Power of 75 Club

The Museum will be holding an afternoon tea club each 4th Sunday of the month as part of the Maldon Livewell Campaign, filled with oodles of tea/coffee, scrumptious cake and a carousel of fun/informative/entertaining activities relating to science, engineering, art, technology and maths and nutritional guidance. This will offer a regular face-to-face friendly link every month for people over 75 years of age who have little or no contact with family or friends. £2 per person per session
