The Big Sing Essex Fun Day

Parkrun at Promenade Park

Blackwater Barge Match Evening

An evening of entertainment devoted to the historic Thames Barges and Fishing Smacks of the east coast. Film of 2017 match & archive films. There will be an exhibit of vintage trophies and Thames Barge models, as well as an auction of unique unpublished barge photographs. Refreshments and a bar will be available.

A massive Model Railway Show is steaming into Maldon on Sunday 25th February the perfect opportunity for fans both young and old to see more than 15 model railway layouts in a variety of scales from tiny Z gauge to O Gauge and a massive model aircraft display. The event is being held from 10am to 4.30pm at Plume, Maldon Community Academy in a 1000 sq metres of space, this is bound to be a popular event and is a great opportunity for people to enjoy nostalgia in miniature. Historic Tours at The Moot Hall

A 1 hour guided tour of Maldon's historically most important building, built for Sir Robert D'Arcy in the 15th Century and subsequently used as the seat of local government in the town. Uncover layers of the town's social history, view historic artefacts, and finish on the rooftop with panoramic views of the town and the River Blackwater. Tours will not run if a Civil Ceremony has been booked. Walk Route: Tour around three floors plus rooftop. Access: Disabled access limited to ground floor.
Cost: Adults £4, Concessions £3, Children (5-16 years) £2, under 5s free.Children’s treasure hunt with prize for every child included.

Tea, coffee & cakes supplied! This is a fund raiser for The Village Hall Improvement Project, by kind courtesy of Chris French.
