Suzie's Good Old Yarn Knit and Crochet Group

Come along to our friendly group at Suzie's Gift and Tea Shop. We meet twice a month (second and fourth Saturday of each month) and some of us knit, some crochet, some do embroidery, basically any needlecraft is more then welcome. We do lots of chatting and welcome new members.

Radio Caroline - A Talk by Ray Clark of BBC Essex Radio

Come and hear Ray Clark talking about his days on Radio Caroline. The talk will include details of Ray's time aboard Radio Caroline, both past and present. A slide show will accompany the talk, and there will be opportunity to ask any questions. Light refreshments will be available. All funds from the event will be for the improvements to the Playing Field area at Cold Norton Village Hall. Entrance - £5.

The Angry Boater

The Angry Boater Comedy Show Top British comedian Joel Sanders had quite a nice life before he discovered boating. He performed in Vegas and appeared with legends Robin Williams and Chris Rock, but gave it all up to pursue his childhood dream of living on a boat. And now he is THE ANGRY BOATER. Fresh from the Edinburgh Festival, he’s bringing his show to the Maldon Little Ship Club on Saturday November 16th to share the trauma of everything boating has done to him. He’s angry, hilarious, and gives voice to the universal communal grief of all fellow sufferers of “the boating condition.” Tickets available only in advance from www.angryboater.com. Show 7.30-9.30pm with interval; bar open from 6pm.

Boo Hewerdine

24th November Two sessions of exploring, singing and playing jazz. 10.30am - 1pm Jazz, gospel and swing singing led by leading jazz singer Tina May (see tinamay.com). Tina is also a voice coach who specialises in helping people develop their voices in a relaxed and fun environment.
